The Space Coast BMW Riders Club (SCBR) is an association of mostly BMW (and some non-BMW) riders that meet once a week on Wednesdays at Jason’s Deli, in The Shoppes of West Melbourne, 1509 W New Haven Ave (SR192), across from the Melbourne Mall from 6-8 pm.
We talk motorcycles, rallies, BMW’s & non-BMW’s, service problems & good mechanics, and generally anything and everything about motorcycles. We also encourage all Euro and Japanese standard/touring motorcyclists to join us too. Spouses and S/O’s are welcome too. There are no rules; it’s very informal and generally great fun. We have been an active group since the 1990s.
The Club is a chapter of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (MOA) and the BMW Riders Association (RA). We have 2 rides each month: a mid-month ride on a Saturday morning and the monthly Club Ride which is the last Sunday of each month. We usually meet in the Sam’s Club parking lot behind the gas station, 4255 W. New Haven Ave, (SR192) Melbourne, FL 32904, at 8 am (summer hours) and 9 am (winter hours).
We’ll generally ride somewhere 1-2 hours away for breakfast or lunch and then ride back. In the hotter weather, the rides are usually breakfast oriented, so we can get back at a reasonable hour before it heats up too much. A few days prior, an email goes out reminding folks about the rides and where we’re planning to go, if known. Sometimes we might venture to Daytona for Bike Week events or down to Sebring.
Dues are about $15/year (mostly to help with web page admin). There is not much mandatory ‘altruism,’ (we certainly applaud it, it’s just not our thing as moto-groups go). You’re welcome to participate in all the riding/eating activities as your schedule permits.
